Sail Log: February 8, 2008
Shore power was off for a week, so I had to wait 30-45 minutes for the batteries to charge… they aren’t holding a charge well and need replaced, especially the starter battery. What a nice day… light breeze, sunny, high 60’s. As I was preparing to depart the slip, six to eight sailboats passed by on their way to an afternoon race.
By the time I got out to the lake, there were at least a dozen sailboats getting in position for the start of the race. I put the main up as soon as I got out of the harbor, then fell off on a close reach and kept to the northeast, hugging the shoreline.
I sailed south/southeast for about an hour and a half, coming about just before Goose Point and heading back in on a reverse course.
