Sail Log: May 5, 2007

Arrived at the marina late in the morning, and it was already shaping up to be hot and humid. There were huge clumps of grass in the bayou from yesterday’s heavy thunderstorms – one reached about 50′ across and we had to “ram” it to move it out of the way.

We sailed close hauled for several miles. Jeremy wanted to get into the water, so I threw out a line with a cushion tied to the end and dragged him along for awhile.

We turned around after about 6 miles and we came back on a broad reach, averaging around 5 knots.
