Taking the Plunge
I’ve waivered back and forth since I saw the boat with the broker and met the owner last Saturday, but am just about ready to make an offer.
Today I contacted a marine surveyor and a local shipyard where I could have the boat hauled out of the water and inspected, which boat the mortgage and insurance companies require. Even if they didn’t, it is something that needs to be done – $500 is a small price to pay for an investment of over $20,000. After running the numbers, I’m comfortable with the price I can offer and will most likely contact the broker tomorrow! Here’s another picture:
